i have fixed index.php and advanced_search_results.php but my problem now is im still having troubles with manufactures links?

I have also the error in manufactures links!

1054 - Unknown column 'p.products_id' in 'on clause'

This can be resolved by editing default.php

go to line 174-175 and replace:

Im getting problems like this too, ive done what was said before and it works fine for single categories but where i have 2 subcategories its coming up with this error

Not being stellar at programming, this was a hard fix for me. I finally found the bug fix (in laymen's terms) :D

the 5th response down was very clear cut, and worked like a charm. Of course, then I had an error come up with the search function, but it was also clearly explained further down on the same page. Here are the fixes for those that might need them in the future:

First, open "index.php" in an html editor and do this:

I tried this and only works on the frontpage my search results which I changed the code still gets the error:

I just ran across this too on advanced_search_result.php -- with a slightly difference because I have the "extra fields" contribution installed.

The code I'm replacing is

back into that statement but I'm not familiar with SQL so I'm not sure how.

I've had the same problem when our website was switched to a new server. So far all the results posted here have fixed the store problems.

The next step, however!.... When I log into our store's admin, the OSCommerce control panel, all our products are listed 20-30 times over. The same product will be switched on and off multiple times in the same list.

On the web, the store works perfectly.

I'm guessing this has something to do with the "categories.php" being altered, but don't know enough of the code to understand where it went wrong.

HELP!

Well I'm on the 1054 error like many other people here....

Ok my server has now updated it's SQL and here are my specs.

PHP version 5.2.5

MySQL version 5.0.45-community-

My error looks like this:

Now the part I can't figure out is this. We all have to change the advanced_search_result.php from this code in this help file:

Basically going from one catergory won't work or the manufactors too. I need serious help on this because I have customers emailing me about this asking why...not good at all.

I can't seem to figure this out after days of trying. I have read this forum, other forums, searched Google and tried fixes:

To no avail. No changes whatsoever and it seems I am editing the wrong files. My index pages and advanced search pages didn't have any trouble. they still don't but as soon as a user goes to catalog/product_info.php I get the dreaded 1054 - Unknown column 'p.products_id' in 'on clause' error. Doing all of the changes does similar results but the best one is done by comparing files with this contribution: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,3727 but still no luck. It didn't make things worse at least whereas some of the above methods messed up my category pages. I tried them all more than once and tried combinations of all the contributions. I am to the point I really need help here.

I haven't seen this fix posted anywhere previously:

I managed to get the issue fixed on the product_info.php page. Turns out it was the catalog/includes/classes/PriceFormatter.php file. Anyone else having trouble on their product_info.php file not working and displaying the 1054 error:

catalog/includes/classes/PriceFormatter.php

Find:

from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_DESCRIPTION . " pd," .
	"	  " . TABLE_PRODUCTS . " p left join " . TABLE_MANUFACTURERS . " m on p.manufacturers_id = m.manufacturers_id," .
	"	  " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_TO_CATEGORIES . " p2c left join " . TABLE_SPECIALS . " s on p.products_id = s.products_id"

and replace it with:

from ((" . TABLE_PRODUCTS_DESCRIPTION . " pd," .
" " . TABLE_PRODUCTS . " p )left join " . TABLE_MANUFACTURERS . " m on p.manufacturers_id = m.manufacturers_id," .
" " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_TO_CATEGORIES . " p2c) left join " . TABLE_SPECIALS . " s on p.products_id = s.products_id"

I didn't have to do any other fixes mentioned in this forum, just the change above in my customized cart.

im having the same problem with the manufacturer links not working:

I spoke to soon.

I get no error messages at all and that is good. All items previously uploaded are still there.

My problem is that now whenever I click on any of the categories it displays everything that I have on catalog. It all comes up and the description and picture does not match.

What did I do wrong?

i edited everything else and it worked fine. Only this thing is creating roblems and this is the code in index.php which is giving this error:

Sorry, I just changed the codes with the right formatting by looking at the difference and applying the parenthesis myself. Thanks for the help!

Hi guys!

This is how i solved it.

in simple words, It looks like its some kind of algebra thing were some db tables needs to be inbetween parentheses ()

for example

$featured_products_query = tep_db_query("select p.products_id, p.products_image, p.products_tax_class_id, s.status as specstat, s.specials_new_products_price, p.products_price from ((" . TABLE_PRODUCTS . " p ) left join " . TABLE_SPECIALS . " s on p.products_id = s.products_id ) left join " . TABLE_FEATURED . " f on p.products_id = f.products_id where p.products_status = '1' and f.status = '1' order by rand($mtm) DESC limit " . MAX_DISPLAY_FEATURED_PRODUCTS);

note that every time there is another "left join" i added a extra parenthese after "from" and before "left join"

I hope this solves some of your errors ;)
