Suggestion: Deposit Payment

I'd like to suggest that a deposit function be added or a contribution be written that offers a Deposit price. I'm developing a site for a client that offers holiday packages. The online shop lists the full package price but only charges a deposit. The remainder of the full price is paid by the customer directly to the vendor when they check in.

 

I see this as functioning very similar to the current Specials function; in fact almost identical. In my case however, the merchant also wants to use the Specials function as it is intended to be used.
