Which index.php is the homepage?

This is really weird.

The home page to oscommerce is usually this right?

/includes/languages/english/index.php

I edit this page to change the content on my homepage, re-upload the file and nothing changes. I have been working on this cart since 2003 and I am totally stumped on this one.

Any ideas?

There is an index.php in the root, which contains the formatting code and the one you mention, which contains the text to display. You can't mix them and they are both need to make up the home page.

Yeah I am aware of the difference between those two pages. But it's really weird, I edit the one in the english directory and nothing happens. I re-upload it to the appropriate english directory too.
