lloydshanks Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 This is really weird. The home page to oscommerce is usually this right? /includes/languages/english/index.php I edit this page to change the content on my homepage, re-upload the file and nothing changes. I have been working on this cart since 2003 and I am totally stumped on this one. Any ideas?
Jack_mcs Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 There is an index.php in the root, which contains the formatting code and the one you mention, which contains the text to display. You can't mix them and they are both need to make up the home page. But it's really weird, I edit the one in the english directory and nothing happens. I re-upload it to the appropriate english directory too.
Jack_mcs Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Try deleting it or adding invalid code in it. Does the site still work? Note that doing this may break your shop so if it is live, you may not want to do it. lloydshanks Posted September 30, 2006 Author Posted September 30, 2006 Yeah that will for sure tell me if the page I am editing is in use or not. I guess I will give that a try tomorrow...
