Rep Form

I am trying to set up a rep form, where reps can login to basically a duplicate of the catalog directory. I have a authentication script written, but I need to figure out how to set it up. I added to the top of the index.php (which I renamed as main_index.php since my index.php is basically the script to login) but I ran into the problem with the tep_session_is_registered function in the application_top.php. Has anyone tried to set up a rep form (basically for a call center to take orders for customers, that may or may not have an email, before?
