Print Shopping Cart - Can't Find Solution

I've seached both the forums and contributions for the answer to this problem. Other people have asked the same question in the past - with no solutions. I believe most people are under the impression that there is no reason to need this functionality, but I can assure you that it is necessary for some businesses.

 

I (and other people) need to add the functionality to print the shopping cart contents so a product list can be faxed or passed to another party. For example, teachers submit a list of items they want to order to a purchasing agent at their school rather than sending the order to us. Using one of the contributions that adds a print button after checkout success will not work in our situation as potential customers will not fill out the "create account" information just to print the cart contents.

 

So, what were looking for is the code to display the current contents of the shopping cart on a blank page. I've tried stripping the extra code from shopping_cart.php, but I end up with errors. I have also looked at the code from the print invoice/receipt contributions to see if I could figure something out, but I'm working with a template and not the default osc files.

 

I'll post the code here (if I can get this working) for others looking for the same solution.

 

Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

i have also searched high and low and cant find the answer. someone must have an idea.
