Continue Shipping button taking me to login page and back to the products

When putting items in your shopping cart, clicking the Continue Shipping button with either take me back to the item I put in last or it will take me to the website file login page, how can I make it so the button makes it so I can keep letting people add Items to the cart??? Thanks Stuart
