Are you talking about a beginner in osC? If yes, the david mercer professional book, available as an ebook, is probably your best bet

yes, that one, but only the publisher's website has it as an ebook also.

 

Mind you, the book starts at step 1 with oscommerce ... so it's not an advanced book in terms of oscommerce. That's how I understood about your osC knowledge.

a manual that explains/comments every PHP file and every PHP function?

a manual that explains all relations between PHP files and between PHP files and database?
