Updating from version 1.1 to 2.2?

Hello I think I have version 1.1 of OScommerce, I have asked the company I got the store from but have as of yet to get a reply. I would like to have a few mods installed on the site but need version 2.2 for the mods I want. How can I find out which version I have ? How can I update to the version I want ? And are there any mod installers who not just create a mod, but also install mods for a fee? I would be willing to pay from $50.00 to $100.00 per mod.
