Categories box not updating

Hi all,

I am new to OScommerce and am setting up my new shop.

I am having a problem - when creating or changin the name of a catagory - it does not update in the catagories box when I view the online store...

 

I know that the new catagory has been created - as I can see it in the list of catagories in the "advance search" option - but, it does not appear in the catagories box.

Also - as I add products to catagories - the number of products in each catagory is not increase or updated..

 

Any help would be much appreciated.
