Linking multiple versions of the same products

Hi there, im working on my site and currently sell laptop batteries. as you may be aware, laptop batteries usually fit several laptop models over several different manufacturers. I would like to create several products on my website with the same description and price mostly within the same category with cascading updates...is this possible???

 

eg: the replacement for an acer aspire 1350 is the same battery as the acer aspire 1355. i want to somehow create the 1350 product then essentially create a new product that is essentially a symbolic link to the first with a different title.

 

Im new to this and would really appreciate the help.
