Help with creating & changing passwords

Does anyone out there know

 

HOW DO YOU CHANGE THE PASSWORD THAT PROTECTS YOUR ADMIN SECTION?

 

 

WWW.DOMAINNAME.SHOP/ADMIN

 

The admin, password section should pop up and you enter your password before going into that part?

 

I am interested in finding out how you would go abouts changing the password.

 

I am not sure if you have to look in a php file or what?

Their are two ways to do this...

1. Use the forgotten my password on the Admin panel.

2. Go to the Administration section on the Admin side of the of Oscommerce...

 

Oh by the way I would change the dir name of admin to something else

WWW.DOMAINNAME.SHOP/ADMIN

 

Then change the configure.php on the admin/include...

When you change the name to another dir you are adding security to

your store...because every body knows the admin dir...

As when I go into my admin settings I can't find either of them.

I'm having this same problem. There is no "forgotten password" on the admin screen itself. Was this a new feature? My build is from early 2005. I've forgotten the password and can't get into the admin panel at all.

I'm confused by number 2. If you can't get into the Administration section in the first place, how does this help? Am I not interpretting this correctly? Any help? I've been trying to get into my cart for over a week.
