Warning: mysql message after new install

I am trying to install OScommerce 2.2 on an addon domain using the Cpanel at HostMonster.com. The install completes and when I click on any link on the page, I get the following error message:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Unknown MySQL server host '[% mysql.osc.sqlhost %]' (1) in /home/drtanton/public_html/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 19

Unable to connect to database server!

I have restored the catalog database and the correct categories appear on the site, but it will not recognize new images that are uploaded, such as oscommerce.gif. The image remains as the OScommerce logo, but changes to the size of the desired image. Also, I can upload new product images, but they do not appear. The filename is there, but no image. Very weird.

Please let me know if you can help me, or if I should go to another host.

Thank you.

Beware of any company with the word 'Monster' in their title - it usually signifies problems.

That said, it looks as though you have an incorrect entry for DB_SERVER in your includes/configure.php file. Try 'localhost' and if that doesn't work try the ip address for localhost, which is '127.0.0.1'
