Guest Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 hey, a great thank if you can help me on this ! i really stuck ! :( what i have is a excel database with all 3440 products, contents: Manufacturer_name, manufacturers_image, Categories1_name, Categories2_name, Categories3_name, My_ref, Web_pic, subimage1, list_price, weight, products_name, products_description how do i upload that database to my oscommerece shop i understand that it can be done, just need it explaining and talking though a big big thanks for all replies ! :rolleyes: Quote
winkblink Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 I had a lot of trouble with excel inserting quotation marks " in the description column. I got around this by opening it in notepad and doing find/replace. but first be sure to protect any " marks that are supposed to be there. Also if they are supposed to be there, make sure you have a back slash \ before each one or it will give you errors when you try to upload it. LOL :) Quote
