Charging Credit Cards When Merchandise is Shipped

I would be grateful for any assistance with the following task:

 

At the end of a sale, I would like for the customer to be able to pay by credit card. He would enter his credit card number which would be saved in the OSC database. The customer's card will NOT be charged at this time.

 

The webstore will email an order acknowledgement, but will contain no credit card information.

 

In the physical store, I will pick and ship the merchandise. After I confirm that the merchandise is all in stock, I would like to connect to the webstore, and view the customer's order. While viewing the order, I will enter the credit card number onto my local machine and charge the card.

 

I have spent a few hours researching this in the forums but have had no success. Thank you in advance for any assistance.
