gillamb Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Hi, I've had a lot of customers recently select a product, create an account, but then disappear as soon as they are about to pay (via Paypal). I've tested the site again, and there is no problem with my link to Paypal or any other problem that would prevent payment. My query is whether i email these people saying something along the lines of " Thanks for your interest, we noticed you left the site before payment, if there is anything we can help with feel free to email". Not sure if this looks pushy/desperate (we are a new store and are desperate!), or how people would react to this sort of email. Any thoughts?
Jack_mcs Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 It's a good idea and it works. Although you should install the Recover Cart Sales contribution. It does a better job at it and will probably cuase you surprise to see all of the baskets that are left empty. You can't see them any other way. kogepan Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 I have had customers like that as well. We're never sure what went wrong and if there was something that went wrong. We're hoping that since they have used their time to registered they might come back to visit again. So far it hasnt happened yet.
