midnight1932 Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Hi All Here is the problem. I set up everything the way it is supposed to set up to sell downloads through the oscommerce store. We ran a test purchase, paid thru paypal. After paying for the item through paypal, we clicked the link to return to merchant.....it showed the box "Here are your items for DL" (or something similar), except the item wasn't a link, it was only text, so there was no way to actually DL the file. We went to "my account" and you couldn't DL it there either, same thing, just text not a link. The status was "delivered" for all, so there was nothing processing or pending. Does anyone know how to fix this?!?! Please :(

ebinfo Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 I'm at the end of my rope and this is a time sensitive matter......does anyone have an idea bout how to fix this????? i had this issue myself earlier today. found out it's likely a file format thing. For instance i would link to a .php file, the file would not work, but if i were pointing to a 'downloadable' format, such as a winzip archive, or maybe an exe file, then the download link would work. hope this helps.
Guest Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 I have had this problem in the past. According to the manual I was to put my downloads into the catalog/download directory. However, when I did this all I got was the text and not the link after the customer bought the download. What I found was that the was a bug in release 2.2 (whatever) where the php script was not putting the '/' into the directory name. When I created a new directory in my store folder named 'catalogdownload' and put my files in there the link would appear and work properly.
