Just switched to godaddy as host and received the following error. I have no idea what it means or what changes should be made. The only thing that I did was move files from my backup copy of my website to godaddy and this is the message that I received. Can someone please help. I tried searching for includes/applicatoin_top.php but had no success.

Warning: main(includes/application_top.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/w/o/n/wonderwoman1/html/index.php on line 13

Warning: main(includes/application_top.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/w/o/n/wonderwoman1/html/index.php on line 13

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'includes/application_top.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/content/w/o/n/wonderwoman1/html/index.php on line 13

Hey there i had the same problem when i switched to godaddy and i figured out why.

You need to reinstall using the install scripts, or you can manually edit the config.php files in the includes directories inside catalog and admin directories with your new information.

Hi,

Thank you for responding. When you say put my new information in, what do you mean. I have no idea what I would need to put in there. I thought that I would just transfer host and be done. Silly me!!!!

If you do the install with the scripts using for example going to http://www.yourdomain.com/catalog/install

then walk through the steps it will put the configuration changes for you, but make sure you have a database backup just in case it overwrites, or edit the config.php files manually which are located at "http://www.yourdomain.com/catalog/includes/config.php" and "http://www.yourdomain.com/catalog/admin/includes/config.php" and edit the connection settings.

The files are commented so you will know what to edit. then after reinstall in done then use your database backup you hopefully performed prior to switching hosts to restore the database to the settings you had previously.

The files which you may need to edit manually are actually called configure.php and not config.php.
