Guest Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Hi, been running the paypal GW for about a year now and have grown heartily sick of it. It works ok but when it breaks it really pisses the customers off and plenty of people just wont deal with paypal, they just dont trust it. In terms of both reliability and price, what payment facilities to people recommend for use with osC? Whats already integrated and working well already? St George pimp E-way, but it only seems to get bad press here, and people also dont seem to be able to use the St George modules direct with much success either. Ta for any tips, Bah Quote
Guest Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Was in a similar situation. I pulled the pin on St George and e-way. Way too many problems, way too expensive and the charge backs killed me. I hated how e-way quote one amount on their website to get you hooked up with them but the second year, their yearly fee is almost double the cost. Really unethical I think. Anyway, I'm now with the Commonwealth for a merchant account and http://e-path.com.au for the gateway. E-Path is one of these new PCI compliant manual "super gateways" (as Visa is calling it). I enter payments directly into my merchant account myself like I do when I get a cc payment by phone. The system is rediculously cheap and I have total control, by that I mean my merchant account is not wide open on the internet for everyone to enter anything they like into my account like it is with real time gateways. I can't understand why these manual systems are not flooded - totally awesome way to go about accepting online cc payments. Anyway, thought I'd mention it in case you want to check it out. And e-Path is not the only one, there's http://payecom.com which looks similar to e-Path from what I read on their site. Cheers Quote
