mikelludwig Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Hi Guys, Not sure if I have commented out the wrong bit of code, but when I go to a Category I only get the word "Categories" instead of the actual category eg "Boys Clothes". Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks
ashrafzia Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 when I go to a Category I only get the word "Categories" instead of the actual category eg "Boys Clothes". Have you added another category named "Boys Clothes" or edited the previous ones??? If you haven't added a new category just click the new category button in the admin area.

I'll check out the contribution you suggested. Thanks Mikel
mikelludwig Posted September 26, 2006 Author Posted September 26, 2006 Hi Guys, Just to end this thread off. Here is a link to the contribution that sorted out what I wanted. It replaces the "Categories" and "Lets see what we have here" text with the category/sub cat name. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...ons,3959/page,3 Thank you all that replied. Mike
♥Monika in Germany Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Mikel, we know about that contribution ... but it only takes care of those 2 things, while header tags would have boosted your SEO at the same time. Your decision of course. :-) Monika addicted to writing code ... can't get enough of databases either, LOL! my toolbox: Textpad - Compare and Merge - phpMyAdmin - WS_FTP - Photoshop - How to search the forum Interactive Media Award July 2007 ~ category E-Commerce my advice on the forum is for free, PMs where you send me work are considered consultation which I charge for ...
mikelludwig Posted September 28, 2006 Author Posted September 28, 2006 Thanks for the reply. But this is my first osCommerce project and I needed to keep things simple otherwise my head would explode :) To cover the SEO side of things, I have a full site with static html pages, full of marketing material and keyphrases, that should lead people to the shop. Lets hope ;)
