Hi

I really need to be able to put an admin created password on certain categories.

It is needed for a photographers website where sets of photos (categories) can only be viewed by entering the password that the photographer gives out.

I think this could be a relativley simple contribution, if anyone out there could program it. I have scoured the existing contributions and cannot find a solution.

Please help, if custom programing is needed, payment can be arranged.

Cheers!

First, some info, from both of you.

Is this going to be a situation where the password is always going to be the same for the directory (or directories) or is it going to be a "membership" type setup with unique names and passwords for each directory?

One can be taken care of by a simple .htaccess/.htpasswd setup (even if each directory needs its own unique name/password combo) but the other would require either a membership type setup or a really good Control Panel through your ISP

I'm interested in pw protecting a wholesale category that resides in my regular categories/products section. If there's a way to do this without installing a contrib like the separate price per customer, that would be great. Is there a way to do it through the phpmyadmin?

Thanks in advance.
