How would I remove the subcategory bullets?

If you take a look at a site I am working on: http://teliger.com/asianimportsonline/osc/index.php

 

I am crrently setting up the categories and sub-categories. The categories are bulleted, but unfortunately so are the subcategories. Since the bulleted categories are actually an image m15.gif (the bullet and background are, the category is dynamic, of course), is there a way to make the subcategories behave differently and not use the same image with the bullet? Or can anyone recommend a different solution that would look better for the category structure?
