SeanBarton Posted September 25, 2006 Author Posted September 25, 2006 ok ive seen that and the contributions available but whenever i turn on the SEO urls (experimental) switch in the settings i kills the site. the template dies rather and i get a nice big red error message at the bottom. also none of my product links work. ive got a test site running reloaded v 6.2 and the seo urls link isnt there. do i have to pay for it for reloaded. can i get it for free elsewhere? thanks for your help with this. as much advice as possible would help. what do you think of the site? Sean
jpweber Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Sean, please read what we're saying. It's like you don't wanna work, and you'd rather just post here for a magic answer or something. This is one contribution you must download and install on your own by following the readme instructions (we can't do it for you): http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2796/ Here's a Google Site map feed (no free install -- you must do this on your own): http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,3233/ Header Tags -- a mandatory contribution (no free install -- work and do it): http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,207/ Dynamic Sitemap: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,3306/ There ya go, Sean. No more posting for magic answers in here. X out of the forums and get to work! It might take you an entire day, but if you install these, you're good to go with SEO. And please, don't be lazy; take the time to read those google articles I told you that will teach you about meta tags, etc. ....
