Main page text and new product help

I have two problems and cannot seem to find the solution to either one through the search feature. I have been searching since last night and finally gave up and decided to ask for some help.

 

1) I would like add some flash pictures to the main page have the main text added to the side. All of this I would like to add to the homepage.

 

2) I would like to remove the "New products for September" completely. How do I do this?

I'm not sure I understand 1) ... you add the flash to the text part in the index.php (language file)

 

2) is clear though, in index.php there are 2 spots with an include for the NEW_PRODUCTS module. Comment both out or only the bottom one if you only want to remove from the homepage.

Thanks, Monika. I will try your suggestion the new prouducts. For question 1, I would like the flash pictures and the text seperate. I do not need the text to be flash just the pictures.

flash is a html code. add that to the language file in the TEXT_MAIN part, add a line break and your text.
