when using "special" characters it may be better to use the html code for them.

so use & euml; (without the space between & and e) or & #235; (again no space) for ?

http://www.esc.cam.ac.uk/new/v10/contact/special_chars.html might assist.

Yes I know that it's possible, but there must be a other way.

If I save the page with IE and then open it', it shows the correct characters.

This is probably due to a difference in 'encoding' used by the server and phpMyAdmin.

Contact your hosting company and find out which default character set encoding they use for MySQL, and then check in phpMyAdmin if it is using the same.
