SQL Error during backup

I'm not sure how serious this is but obviously would like to get it sorted. I keep getting this error when I'm trying to backup my database.

1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'option,ordering,admin_menu_img,iscore,params from jos_components

select id,name,link,menuid,parent,admin_menu_link,admin_menu_alt,option,ordering,admin_

menu_img,iscore,params from jos_components

[TEP STOP]

If anyone can shed some light on this and how I may go about sorting it I'd be most obliged

many thanks

what version of oscommerce are you using and is it heavily modified

No longer giving free advice. Please place deposit in meter slot provided.  Individual: [=] SME: [==] Corporation: [===]
If deposit does not fit one of the slots provided then you are asking too much! :P

Is your Osc dated try Phoenix  raising oscommerce from the ashes.

version is 2.2 ... and though modified I don't think it is done heavily... URL is http://www.sporran-nation.co.uk/catalog

No contributions have been added and very little has been done to the admin side apart from removing all the default products and changing a few details.

many thanks

a small brain-wave !!

a few days ago, prior to installing oscommerce I installed a test copy of Joomla ... it would appear that when I uninstalled it that a couple of tables were left behind. I deleted these tables and back-up succeeds without error.

:)

all is well
