Downloads Controller Order Status Value

Hi! i have been trying to figure out why i am having problems offering free products.

After i have gone through the payment process i recieve the following message:-

 

NOTE: Downloads are not available until payment has been confirmed

 

Can someone please help me out as ive been stewing over this one for days!
