rounding issue - one currency

lurker newb here. I try to stay outta the way, but this has me pulling my hair out.

 

In checkout_confirmation, the total does not round. (Currency: USD) It rounds for everything else, but the total and as a result, every transaction is one penny off. I don't know what to do.

 

I've ran search upon search. I've seen some solutions offered for dealing with multiplie currencies, but nothing conlcusive for dealing with one currency. hehe I've even run a couple of searches on how to effectively search.

 

I've double checked to make sure everything was set at 2 decimals places. I've even experimented cranking it up to 8 (that's how I came across that it was an issue with the total price not rounding while the others were). I've double checked to make sure that USD was the default even going into the sql itself.

 

If there's a solution, I'd greatly appreciate it.

 

here's an example of the sub-totals through total:

 

$7.95 - 8 decimals: $7.95000000 - Sub-Total

$0.64 - 8 decimals: $0.63600000 - Shipping (8%)

$0.71 - 8 decimals: $0.70834500 - Tax (8.25%)

$9.29 - 8 decimals: $9.29434500 - Total
