Taking the "->" out of the categories menu

Does anybody know if (and where) I can change the "->" that appears in the categories listing on the main page? And while we're at it: how can I change the appearance of that menu?

Open up and alter includes/boxes/categories.php.

There are many ways to alter the look. I use Jasonabc's category rollover contribution, but there are many other ways to do it. There's another contribution here: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,4463/ ...

And of course, the Basics For Design Change should always be looked at to alter the OSC default look. Good luck.

Thanks Jason. To tell the truth, I was looking for something less... graphic ;)

As I'll have lots of categories and subcategories, I'm going to have to keep it simple. I just wanted to find a way to make it look simple AND good. I'll take a good look at the Basic For Design Change thread, I'm sure I'll find many answers there. Thanks for the tip.
