Where do I go to find orders

When I receive an order am I supposed to automatically get an email with the details or is there somewhere I can go in admin to find out all the info on my sales etc.

In admin->configuration, if you have the email entered, you should receive an email when an order is placed. But you can view the orders in admin->Customers->Orders.
