jonlai9 Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 I currently have a fully functional OsCommerce installed in server A, but I now want to bring it over directly to server B. Can I simply drag and drop all the files over and upload the database to the new server, or is it more complicated that that? Are there any database values I need to reset or change in the database to make it work? Thanks.
digbydo Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 back up the database locally download all your server A files move to server B reinstall osCommerce restore the database upload the files adjust the paths in config if necessary worked ok for me.... depends on the hosts *really* Good luck, Digs one-click installation.. Is it in the admin or do I have to do it in phpmyadmin? Will it work if I don't reinstall OsCommerce but just copy the files over and link to the restored database?

You might need to adjust absolute path in the includes/configure.php and the admin/includes/configure.php Backup before making changes. Backup before making changes! Backup before making changes!! You did do a backup? eh?
