nsbdirect
My website www.nsbdirect.co.uk has a problem in calculating VAT (UK tax system) and shipment. Somebody installed a contribution for me but it's not working properly. If somebody with good knowledge can spare some time and sort this out for me asap. I will appreciate if somebody will contact me to help me out. I can pay via paypal. Cheers

Cheers I couldn't get the VAT to work correctly either. Found it was adding vat to products but not shipping, or it was adding them up wrong. Anyway... I now enter the gross prices and modified the emails not to display vat. Perhaps when I have more time I'll go back to it, but it was a pain. Showing the vat is not a big issue as most of my customers are not registered. Just need a statement saying all prices include vat. Someone may have a better answer. ____________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________
Shahid
I sorted VAT out, you need to set up two different sone/classes. One vat applicable at 17.5% and one for non vat apllicable (anywhere outside EU but includes some EU zones so tread carefully). Then when you add the product price it adds vat on top, which is then translated to all figures. If a member from a non VAT country signs in, it comes up without vat. Try it www.unlimitedrc.co.uk change your country and see what happens :) I didn't need to install any upgrades or anything, its fine as it is. If you want me to help you this on a one to one basis let me know.

I have 2 zones setup on my own store, one for Ireland at 21% which works fine, thats the country im in, and the other is for the United Kingdom. Ive setup a VAT rate of 17.5 for the UK, but it doesnt show up on the order. Anyway, thats cool coz i dont think we're supposed to be charging anyone but people from Ireland VAT, seeing as we're based here. But what you said about setting a zone up to be anywhere else in the EU, how do i do that? Do i set 1 zone to ireland and the other zone to "All Zones"? Also, im having another little problem with VAT not showing up on the orders or invoices beside the product. So what happens is, "Price (Ex)" is the same as "Price (Inc)" and "Total (Ex)" is the same as "Total (Inc)" even though in the Tax field it says 21% and vat is actually being charged to the final order, just before the total. It's just not showing the actual VAT added to each individual product on the order itself or the invoice... Any ideas? Thanks! :)
