georgei Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 I'm trying to setup my Google Adwords account to track my e-commerce (revenue) transactions, but I'm not sure how to generate (build) the date for their hidden form that needs to be added to footer.php osCommerce page... Here's the reponse I got from Google, but i'm still not sure how to get my "shopping cart/payment processor" to build this data.. I have Analytics tracking and Converting Tracking working just fine, it's just not tracking ecommerce revenue data.. Please see google's reponse below (I have done steps 1 and 2): In response to your question regarding the hidden form, you will need to include the utmform in your receipt page if you want to track all of your e-commerce transactions. The information required in the utmform should be filled in by the shopping cart/payment processor you are using. You will need to do this just once, but make sure the variables correspond according to your shopping cart. Once again, please make sure that all of these steps are completed: 1. The receipt page has the tracking code. 2. E-commerce tracking has been enabled in your profile. 3. The utmform has been included in the receipt page. 4. <body onLoad="java script:__utmSetTrans()"> has been included in the receipt page. If you are still unable to see your data after ensuring that these four steps are completed, please send us the full source code of your receipt page so that we can investigate further. I have included the link to our help site again for your reference: http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bi...py?answer=27203 Any idea? Has anyone else done this?
georgei Posted September 13, 2006 Author Posted September 13, 2006 I am still puzzled with the whole utmform data that Google is asking for to have in my receipt page... I emailed them asking for more info about exactly how to generate that data, and here's their response, but I still don't understand how to producre the data using osCommerce... In response to your first question, the information required in the utmform needs to be inserted by the shopping cart you are using. The variables I am referring to is what is in the brackets. Everything in the brackets should be replaced by actual values, as described in the Parameter Reference in the following link: http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bi...py?answer=27203. Does anyone have any ideas about this? Thanks
