StuartNWT
Hello, Ive followed the quick set-up guide as above, even setting my folders to 777 to see if that works. However I get the message 'FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it!' Now when I contacted my host they told me to follow this; http://www.hosting-support.pipex.net/view.cgi?id=237 So this is what i did, I located the file .htaccess using Dreamweaver, I was then told to copy and paste the line 'php_flag register_globals on' right onto the .htaccess (it opened up in Dreamweaver as a notepad file) this I did leaving it as the last line. I then tried to load www.sellitglobally.com/install but to no avail! I think ive installed my sql server properly, however im stumped. I do have a basic knowledge, a very basic knowledge. Please can someone help! Thanks Stuart Neale

spax
Be aware, if you are using the latest osC update (060817), both of the patched general.php files need a slight update.
Guest
I was wondering why I get this FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it! with a perfectly working shopping cart out of the blue, did my host change something or what is going on? Als my administartion pannel suddenly has this error: Warning: main(includes/configure.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/gardenso/public_html/catalog/admin/includes/application_top.php on line 30 Warning: main(includes/configure.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/gardenso/public_html/catalog/admin/includes/application_top.php on line 30 Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'includes/configure.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/gardenso/public_html/catalog/admin/includes/application_top.php on line 30 trying to figure this out.
