MitchPitt
I don't know if anyone has come across this, but recently I've had issues with Order Status, New Order and Password Retrieve emails being sent via OSCommerce. Spoke to the hosting service and they told me I needed an email using the domain name that was registered. Did that and still nothing. I also have in the configuration in the admin page set to sendmail. This is really odd considering before we used an outside email address without any problems... That is teh same problem we are having, thank god we run our own servers as I would hate to deal with a hosting service, they do not understand. But apprantly PHP5 is what i am figuring has problems sending mails, i notices osc did not, but then also our xcart did not, then i noticed a hand made php script did'nt either, so it has to be a php5 problem.. MitchPitt
Well naturally after I put in this post, I figured it out. Set the value to true to check emails using DNS and it seems like everything is happy again... (I hope!)

I'm from a hosting company and I'm trying to troubleshoot this same thing for my client. I think they'll be a bit more understanding than you think. PenguinMan98
No, we are not using paypal, we are using ViaClix. As far as I know, we are using a later version of PHP 4 I've tried installing the PHP Mailer contrib. No help. I also tried tweaking the settings from sendmail to smtp but that didn't help either. I downloaded the e-mail test contrib and when I run it, I get both e-mails. I'm at a loss.
