Hi everyone. I have just moved my oscommerce to another host. I have changes the permission of public_html to 755 and includes directory to 755. I am getting this warning.

Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home2/wstoeinf/public_html/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file.

Although i have changed the permission to configure to 644 and even tried it changing to 0. But this warning remains. How can i rectify this. Any clue?

644 is still writeable, it needs to be 444.

If you tried changing permissions to zero and that didn't work then I'd suggest contacting your hosting company about it. They may have the user permissions (which controls who can and can't change file and folder permissions) incorrectly set.

in my case, I'm success to change the permission to 444, but tommorow when I tried to open my store homepage, it show the warning again. and my permission changed back to 644.

my hosting provider used debian, is there any kind incompatibility with OSC and Debian? have you ever found same problem like me?
