Dorteeclan
I've spent the last 1 1/2 hours searching the forum for this answer and I have not found the exact answer I need. I apologize if this has been covered before, but I've run out of patience and need to start making dinner for my kids. ;) I'm not getting the name of the item on the details section on Paypal or OSCommerce order admin. On Paypal it lists my store name in place of the item name. On the Order backend of OSC, it shows the category, but not the item name. My client needs to know the name(s) of the items ordered so they know what to send to the customer. Everything else with PayPal works great except for this. Any ideas how to fix? I have pretty much the same problem. Everything is the same as far as Paypal showing store name instead of items ordered. My OSC order admin is showing up correctly though. Sure hope we can get a knowledgable response for this issue as I too have grown weary from searching. :'( I am using PayPal's Website Payments Standard. There is a contribution called "Better PayPal Description" that should solve your problems. I have STS v4 installed along with a few other contribs, and they seem to work well together. When a customer goes to the PayPal payment screen after hitting "checkout", they will see the name of the product and the quantity ordered, instead of your store name. That info is then transmitted back to your store upon completion of checkout. My store is not up yet, but I've done numerous test orders and it works. Pretty simple install. Hope it helps, Sean

WingingIt
Works great. Can't believe I could not find that in all of my contrib searches. Thanks again smuratet! :D I just did this fix on my shop, and it does take care of the email notification beautifully. But there is still the problem of having to get customers to return to the shop in order for the order to be recorded in the admin. I think the only way of dealing with that is pressing paypal to make the auto return function work even when you have turned on the Account Optional. And that will take communication.
