mom2ashley
Hi I've just installed oscommerce. When I launched my online store, both the "create an account" and "log yourself in" link says 'unable to display page'. Anyone has any ideas on this? ♥Vger
You enabled ssl when you installed, without having an ssl certificate. Set enable_ssl to false in both configure.php files. Vger

♥Vger
how can I install/enable ssl certificate? Ask your hosts if you have access to a shared ssl which you can use. If not then ask them if they will buy and install a full ssl certificate for you and how much it would cost. Vger
woomik
HI VgerThanks! I'd update the configure.php files for now. BTW, how can I install/enable ssl certificate? Rgds Dinah  I have the same problem. Where are the config files to alter? I tried altering the ..catalog/includes/configure.php file by changing "true" in the line "define('ENABLE_SSL', true); // secure webserver for checkout procedure?" to "false". However, when I tried to save it, I got an error ~ "[a fatal error or timeout occurred while processing this directive]". Is this the right file to alter? you mentioned "both files". Where is the other? Thanks
