Order problem

Recommended Posts

Hello, I've just recently started using this software and have run into a small problem.

Out of my first 3 orders, I have only been notified of 1 via the system. (The other two I was notified by PayPal that I had received money.)

All 3 payments were made by Paypal, only 1 was through Credit Card.

At the moment I've had to email the people who made the order and ask them to please send me the list of what they wanted via email cause it's not sending me a copy of thier complete checked out shopping cart.

What's up?

This contribution is for shops that use a payment processor's site (e.g. 2Checkout, Protx, PayPal). When an order is not being logged at ones site because the customer did not click the appropriate button to return to the site after they entered their credit card at their payment processor's site, the logged orders can be very useful to avoid going back to customers to ask them what they ordered.

You could also check the paypal IPN contribution. This module logs the order before redirecting for paypal for payment. If the customer doesn't return to your site after successful payment, you know at least what they ordered.

Feedback and suggestions on my shop welcome.

Note: My advice is based on my own experience or on something I read in these forums. No guarantee it'll work for you! Make sure that you always BACKUP the database and the files you are going to change so that you can rollback to a working version if things go wrong.
