savantconnect
Hello, Yesterday we had a customer input an order using their credit card and OS Commerce. We have the Pay Pal module loaded along with IPN. The order seemed to process ok, but no funds have appeared in our paypal account. Can anyone suggest what to do? thanks, David
jpweber
What did your e-mail say? Did you get one? Did you install the *only proper* paypal module? The module that comes with OSC isn't the right module. You have to download and install the proper module here: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2679/ Did you go to yoru paypal business account, log in, go to "profile", then "instant payment notification preferences", and point paypal to your newly-created ipn.php file, which should be located here /ext/modules/payment/paypal_ipn/ipn.php ???? Did you go into your ADMIN (www.yoursite.com/admin, or www.yoursite.com/catalog/admin, or whatever) and uninstall/remove the module that just says "Paypal", and the install the newly created module that says "PayPal (Credit Card / Debit)"??? And then did you configure that accordingly within your admin? These are all things you should look into. Maynard
Are you aware of PayPal Sandbox, where you can test your PayPal installation without using real money? http://www.sandbox.paypal.com And FWIW, this add-on works as well: PayPal_Shopping_Cart_IPN I'm Maynard, and I'm happily running, maintaining, tweaking osC on Maynard's Groovy Bible Tunes (google it!) From what you wrote it sounds as if you have the CC and the paypal module enabled. For CC payments using paypal, you only need to enable the paypal module. If you have the option to process CC manually, leave the CC module enabled. To me it sounds as if the customer used the CC module (you should have received the CC details by mail) instead of the paypal one. abra The First Law of E-Commerce: If the user can't find the product, the user can't buy the product. jpweber
Abra is exactly right. They used the CC option, but you don't have a merchant account that let's you do that; you have Paypal, which means they have to og throught he whole paypal process, instead of just typing a CC number in there. The process worked fine, but no funds showed up. So you'll have to disable the CC option, implying to customers that they'll have to go through paypal to use their CC. And when you install the module, please use the one I posted; it's the only one that works. Don't use the one that other guy posted. Good luck. Guest
I had this problem. Make sure you have stated what currency you are using. Other wise when they go through to paypal they just get cost = 0.
