level5toys Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Hello, I'm sorry to have to post such a lame post, but i don't know what to do with myself right about now. I have godaddy.com as my hosting manager, and i'm trying to understand all of these, but i keep getting lost. I have spend the last few days reading post on installs but i'm still really lost. I was able to upload via FTP all the files that i need for the install, and i went to www.level5toys.com/install and i get stopped right around there. My first error is install/oscommerce/sql is missing.

MagickWomyn Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Yes, i made a database Make sure you're using a Linux hosting plan, OSC & Windows don't seem to get along. I'd also check the ftp'd files... are they corrupt? Maybe try to ftp them again.
Posertrax Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 You may have to manually upload some files to their directories - I also have a GoDaddy Linux acct, and for me, the install/oscommerce.sql file never uploads when you copy the entire install directory. I've done several installs on GoDaddy accts, and I always have to copy the oscommerce.sql file. So just manually copy that file to the install directory on your hosting account, that will help that error. hope this helps! --Donnie
