custompony
1) The buyers address is not transfering to paypal so I am having to manually enter it. I would like to change this back. 2) Most of the users with firewalls are not able to make the jump from my cart to paypal. Some say that paypal just times out on them instantly when they sign in OR the code they have to enter to validate themselves in paypal (I assume for new users) will not be accepted. Anyone know how to fix these problems?
Guest
Honestly I would go with a new processor .. I have had alot of problems in the past with Pay pal and OSCOmmerce. People forgetting to finish the purchase in paypal and come back to the site etc. I would go with someone like plug n pay or authorize.net 1) The buyers address is not transfering to paypal so I am having to manually enter it. Maynard
Which PayPal payment contribution are you using? I found that neither the normal one, nor the OsCommerce supported one worked well, and have settled with PayPal_shopping_cart_IPN. (v.3.1.5) It always transfers the address OK, and people get through PayPal OK as well. I'm Maynard, and I'm happily running, maintaining, tweaking osC on Maynard's Groovy Bible Tunes (google it!) monstredeminuit
also, make sure you don't put your shopping cart within frames. Paypal hates frames... I made that mistake, and most of my customers had Paypal Timeouts. I have removed the shopping cart from frames and now all is ok.
