bubblez Posted September 8, 2006 Share Posted September 8, 2006 Hi, I am trying to upload the program to my website...and I can not get it to work, or even load...I don't know what i am doing wrong. I have tried deleting everything off my server and starting over...but it just will not work. I have tried doing a search for help...but no one seems to be having this problem. Once I do get the program working is there a way that I can keep it loaded on my local server so I can work on it, without uploading it until its complete. The other question I have is do I need another program to be able to edit the site? A bit back I did have it working on my site, but I was unable to edit the middle text--this is where all the cautions are... Please can someone help Hi Tammy, Once you upload everything to your server, nothing should be deleted unless they delete it or you. What program are you using to upload to your server? Regards, Mike I now have it upload...made the changes they told me...but now I can not get into the site to edit..and what is showing is a mess...our address is vikingpolice.com I am getting so fustrated and don't know what else to do. Tammy take it easy and try not to pull your hair out like the rest of us. First, what program are you using to upload the files? I would suggest WinSPC3 as it is free to download and works very well and is easy to use. Now, After you upload the files you go to your browser and enter the address of your store like http://www.yoursite.com/catalog/install That will start the install process. You will need to know several things here. You will also have to have a Database setup and know you password and user ID. Just take your time and you should do alright.
