gentlegiant Posted September 8, 2006 Share Posted September 8, 2006 Oky I'll try to explain this as best I can... Here in the UK, we are selling Mobility products. If the customer has a mobility 'problem' and need say a bath lift to get in and out of the bath then they can buy SOME items and not pay the VAT (Tax).... But only if they complete a VAT exemption form.... If the customer is NOT VAT exempt (IE customer purchased item for granny) then they must pay the VAT... I've created a VAT form which putes the details in a seperate table.... However, I can't just do a simple lookup to see if their is the customer details are their and deduct VAT off the end ammount because some items that can be purchased are NOT VAT exempt under any circumstances. The thaught occured to me to use a coupon system.... but not sure if thats the best way..... Also, can someone tell me what the best coding is to display the price on each product Including VAT and Excluding (legal requirement) as at the moment I'm chasing my own tail around the code.... again!
