taree Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Howdi, I have enabled Paypal payment. All is set correctly. When I place an order I can select PayPal but further down my shop name appears as the item I bought with no value ($ 0). I also changed PayPal profile settings as instructed. After going through a few posts I noticed everyone is talking about installing ipn.php file or editing it. I can not find it under my /catalog directory. Where is this file supposed to reside? Do I really need it? should I install it myself? Where do I find it? Why can I not see the item I bought and the price. Please help!! You can test it at: www.onlinebargainshopping.com.au/catalog/ Thanks, Taree Quote
themistral Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 I don't think there is an IPN file as such - try installing the PayPal IPN contribution. I think that if you don't, you lose orders if people don't complete the whole process. You receive payment but no order details... This may not fix what you are experiencing, but it is probably worth installing it anyway. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...arch,paypal+ipn Quote
wonton Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 To have the ipn.php file, you need to have the Paypal IPN module install. There is an older paypal module which does not have the IPN (instant payment notification) feature.. Assuming you have the Paypal IPN module, it is located under catalog/ext/modules/payment/paypal_ipn. Quote
taree Posted September 12, 2006 Author Posted September 12, 2006 Thanks for all the support. I Will install the module today and hopefully this will take care of the problem. Quote
