wenonae Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Hello Everyone- I am trying to prevent doing a whole RE-INSTALL of OSC. I tried to install Fancier Invoice- made an error, and now I've no idea what to even trouble-shoot as restoring virgin files has failed. Also to the NEWBIES- when people say BACK-UP, they mean BOTH the SQL AND the files themselves. I was thinking right up until now that the files were also stored when you hit 'back up' in tools. Some reading later, I figured out that the files aren't saved, only the data. Aaaaaggggghhhh!!! No WONDER I can't get my previous interface. >_< In any case, I'm looking for some idea for what could be going on? The url is www.gnosishealthproduct.com/osCommerce/catalog. I don't get an error message...only "??????" I REALLY only change files in languages for admin and includes and the LOCAL configure.php file. This may be my error, but I have no idea what a plain configure.php file should look like. I used to have one, but alas- it's now gone. But would that affect the catalog level? Any insight GREATLY appreciated.
wenonae Posted September 8, 2006 Author Posted September 8, 2006 Maybe the title isn't appealing. I don't think this is a really bad thing because most all files are intact, but does ANYONE have ANY idea. Would LOVE some insight shared! Thanks so much in advance.

wenonae Posted September 8, 2006 Author Posted September 8, 2006 The URL you quote above gives a "site not found" O, darn! >_< I'm putting it here and correcting it above: I left off an 's'. http://www.gnosishealthproducts.com/osCommerce/catalog/
wenonae Posted September 10, 2006 Author Posted September 10, 2006 Well, after doing lots of other forum searhes, the problem boils down to what I used to save my edits. I tried doing 'unicode' on Wordpad then attaching *.php to it. This caused the PHP4 to read funny stuff. So I'm going to re-install osC using a 'good' editor. I should come out better.
