Suggesting to add more elements to cart ?

Hello folks :)

 

I'm wondering if there are contributions or features (I searched, and didnt find !) that would suggest people to add more items to their cart.

 

Would you know if there ae some of that style ?

That generally is made in three ways on commercial sites :

 

- placing links/page parts/pages saying stuff like "the visitors also liked that" depending on the items added to cart (I always wondered if that was based on a real statistical study or if it was a trick to push forward pre-chosen products linked to other products, even if customers didn't really associate the two)

 

- in the categories panel management window, in the admin pages, linking items to create cross-references, so that when you open the page for an item, there is an automated recommandation for another item. For instance "This A item would be perfectly suited to work with that B item"

 

- or also, when a client clicks to order what's in his shopping cart, insert one more webpage saying that "this product is in temporary yet exceptional promotion, would you like to add it to your cart".

Or else, saying that, "if besides articles A and C, you add item B, you'll have a 20% discount on both items A and B"...

 

Do you see the idea ?

 

I googled that, searched the forums, but I didn't find some contribs/addons to manage that.

Would you have an idea if that's possible, and if so, where would that be, please ? :lol:
