Pointing Website Address To Store

I have finally configured my store to where I want it to be the main site for my domain. How do you make it point to the catalog when someone searches for my site or puts "www.mydomain.com" in the address bar? There probably is simple trick, but I'm a novice at this and I'd appreciate some advice.

Thanks.

Move the entire store out of /catalog/ and place it in the root folder. Remove any references to /catalog/ in your two configure.php files. Job done.

I did as you suggested, but now I get the following message at the top of the home page "Warning: The downloadable products directory does not exist: /home/www/mydomain.com/catalog/download/. Downloadable products will not work until this directory is valid."

The page graphics are all mixed up too. How do I correct this?

Thanks, Steve

You must still have a reference to /catalog/ in your config file. Paste it in here - minus the DB info.

Here is the configure.php file:

<?php

// define our database connection

define('USE_PCONNECT', 'true'); // use persistent connections?

define('STORE_SESSIONS', 'mysql'); // leave empty '' for default handler or set to 'mysql'

?>

Please advise what I can do to restore my store.

Thank you, Steve

try this (you'll have to restore your database connection settings of course):

define('HTTPS_SERVER', ''); // eg, https://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers

define('ENABLE_SSL', false); // secure webserver for checkout procedure?

define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'jls-katzmeow.com');

define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', '');

define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '/');

define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', '/');

Thank you, that seems to have done the trick :) I really appreciate your help!

But now, none of my thumbnail jpg or gif pics are showing. When I click the box with the "X" in it, it takes me to the listing with all the photos as it should, but none of the catagories sections appear with the thumbnails. Would you have any ideas about fixing that?

Thank you, Steve.

Your images are still in /catalog/images. For example the "Cushcraft Blitz Bug LIGHTNING ARRESTOR & AMPHENOL 83-ISP":

it is at:

it should be at:
