Guest
hi there, i have the situation where i need to apply 10% tax for local orders and for overseas orders to be tax exempt. i have configured the tax zones and it works fine for: - local customers/local shipping address, or - overseas customers/overseas shipping address but oscommerce is using the delivery address and not the billing address to calculate when to apply tax. so in the circumstance where someone is local and sending the product overseas, it is not applying the tax, when it should be, and vice versa. is there a way to make it so it uses the billing address to calculate the tax, not the shipping address? yours in hope, dovegrey. If it is sales tax then if should apply to the shipping address at least in the USA.....If it is just a fee you are adding then I would serach the contributions for billing address fees. I have never seen such a contribution though
