InstallationError

Hello

I have the following error

i have installed in root

startet configuration per default the OScommereInstall move to the Folder Install and there he is looking again for a folder Install

 

any idee how to solve

it may be a permissions thing?

 

can you login to mysql at a command prompt using the username & password you are attempting to use?

 

perhaps the path is wrong in configure.php (absolute vs relative paths)....

 

can you check your server error logs?

thanks for your feedback, i do belive the configure.php is right i diden't opend. and yes Username und password are right in the installation it is a step before and says ok!

You are probably trying to install on a Windows server.

If they were people - they wouldn't be able to find their own way home.

You need to edit install/templates/pages/install_3.php and where you see:

$sql_file = $dir_fs_www_root . 'install/oscommerce.sql';

 

Edit it to (change /path_to_root/ to real path):

$sql_file = '/path_to_root/install/oscommerce.sql';

 

You will need to know the path to the root of your website.

Check with your hosting company if you don't know.

OK

there was also a / to remove -

the installation completed sucesfully but to go to the catalog is a error

Unable to connect to database server!

 

and the admin part give the same error

where are this information stored so i could check it what it is in?
