gtmwheels
Hello, I've searching all over to change my password for the admin page where I make changes to my store. I can't seem to locate how or where to change the admin page's password. There is an existing password that I would like to change. I purchased the business from someone and afraid there's been a lot of changes done to my website without my knowledge. I found the web protect in cpanel but don't know what to do or if I'm in the right area to change the password. Thanks in advance!
Guest
There should be something in the file manager for your control panel for that specific folder. The best bet is to get ahold of the tech support for your web host. They should be able to let you know how and where to do that, and even walk you through doing it the first time. ♥peterpil19
In cpanel web protect, you can untick the protect folder option. You can also delete the current user for that folder and set a new one. Once you have created a new user / password, just use those details to gain entry.
